River levels remain high and the potential for flooding continues today, 16 November 2025. Flooding may affect low lying land and roads adjacent to the river from the Welsh border at Llawnt to Shrawardine near Shrewsbury. Other locations that may be affected include Llanymynech, Maesbrook and Melverley. Roads between Maesbrook, Melverley and Pentre start to flood. Observed peak:- Llanymynech 4.51m on 15/11. Predicted peak:- Cae Howel 4.8m to 5.1m on 16/11 AM. We are closely monitoring the situation. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. This message will be updated by 9:00AM on 17 November 2025 or as the situation changes.
