High groundwater levels may lead to flooding. Flooding is possible.
Groundwater levels are falling very slowly at our Longacre borehole in the Lambourn Valley. We expect levels to remain high over the next few weeks and levels will remain sensitive to further sustained rainfall. Due to the nature of groundwater flooding, this situation could continue for several weeks or longer.
We are closely monitoring rainfall and groundwater levels.
Residents are advised to prepare property resilience measures and ensure that pumps are working where they have been installed. Take particular care when driving through flood water both for your own safety and to prevent flooding to others.
This message will be updated by 12:00PM on the 24 March 2026, or as the situation changes.
