Property flooding is not currently expected. River levels are flowing within banks, but rising slowly, on the River Ray following recent rainfall. Flooding of low lying land and roads is possible over the next few days, especially in the Islip area. Widespread light rain is forecast this morning, 21/12/2024, with showers overnight, and into Sunday, that may be heavy in places. Further unsettled weather is likely in the coming days. We expect river levels to remain high over the next few days as water moves through the system. Go to the 'River and Sea levels in England' webpage for current river levels. Avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses. This message will be updated tomorrow morning, 22/12/2024, or as the situation changes.
