Property flooding is not currently expected.
River levels are stabilising on the River Thames and its tributaries between Calcutt and Lechlade. However, flooding of roads and low lying land is expected to continue today (29/01/25), particularly in areas close to the river in Calcutt, Lechlade, Castle Eaton and Kempsford.
The forecast is for a dry day today (29/01/2025) We expect river levels to continue to rise slowly through today before stabilising into this evening. Levels remain sensitive to further rainfall.
We are monitoring the situation and operating weirs on the Thames to manage flood risk. Avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses. Go to the 'River and Sea levels in England' webpage for current river levels.
This message will be updated tomorrow morning, 30/01/25, or as the situation changes.
