Flood Warning: River Blackwater

The water level in the River Blackwater at Ower and Cadnam River has fallen after a dry spell following recent rainfall. Over the last three days, 44mm of rain has been recorded in Romsey. This is just under half the average monthly rainfall for January. Heavy rain is possible Wednesday evening (29/01/2025) with potentially 20mm affecting Hampshire. If heavy rain affects the catchment, river levels will rise again and we will update this Flood Alert. We continue to monitor the forecast. Our operations staff are out working to ensure rivers remain free of any reported blockages. Please ensure that pumps used to protect property are operating correctly. This Flood Alert will be updated by 12:00 on 30/01/2025.
