Flood Warning: Danes Stream

The water level in the Danes Stream Cadnam River has fallen after a dry spell following recent rainfall. Over the last three days, 33mm of rain has been recorded in Milford on Sea. This is a third of the average monthly rainfall for January. Heavy rain is possible Wednesday evening (29/01/2025) with potentially 20mm affecting Hampshire. If heavy rain affects the catchment, river levels will rise again and we will reissue this Flood Alert for possible garden flooding at Milford on Sea High Street, along with footpath flooding at Lucerne Road. We continue to monitor the forecast. Milford Dam has been operating to reduce the risk of flooding to Milford on Sea. This Flood Alert will be updated by 12:00 on 30/01/2025.
