Flood Warning: River Lox

The River Lox is still higher than normal, but has fallen significantly following Sunday and Monday’s rain, and continues to fall. Another period of rain is forecast Wednesday afternoon and evening (29/01/2025). There remains uncertainty in the rainfall amounts and locations, ranging from 5-20mm. The most likely scenario is for a very small river rise. Minor flood impacts are not expected, but could be possible (near Brewhurst Mill, from 08:00 30/01/2025). River levels should peak lower than recent days. From Thursday afternoon only isolated showers are forecast and flood risk should slowly reduce. The River Lox should return nearer to a normal level from Friday 31/01/2025. Please continue to operate private water control structures at Brewhurst, to reduce the risk of flooding.
