Flood Warning: River Adur East Branch
Message Last Updated:
Severity Last Changed: The River Adur has fallen significantly, and is near to a normal level following Sunday's rain. Another period of rain is forecast Wednesday afternoon and evening (29/01/2025). There remains uncertainty in the rainfall amounts and locations, which range from 5-20mm. The most likely scenario is for a very small river rise. From 01:00 on 30/01/2025, minor flooding could affect fields at Mock Bridge on the A281, near Shermanbury. We expect river levels to peak lower than on Monday. Only isolated showers are expected from Thursday (30/01/2025) and through the weekend. The river should begin to fall by 16:00 on 30/01/2025, and should return to normal by the weekend. Some roads, including the A281 at Mock Bridge, may be affected by flood water. Please plan to avoid driving through routes vulnerable to flooding. We continue to monitor the levels and forecast. We will update this message by 14:00 on 30/01/2025. |
