Flood Warning: River Uck

The River Uck has fallen significantly, and is now at a normal level following Sunday's rain. Another period of rain is forecast Wednesday afternoon and evening. There remains uncertainty in the rainfall amounts and locations, ranging from 5-20mm. The most likely scenario is for a very small river rise. We expect river levels to peak at a lower level than on Monday. Only isolated showers are expected from Thursday and over the weekend. The river should begin to fall by 07:00 30/01/2025 in Buxted and 16:00 30/01/2025 in Isfield, and should return to normal by the weekend. As a precaution, flood protection products are recommended to be installed in Buxted and Isfield, if you have them. We continue to monitor the levels and forecast. We will update this message by 14:00 30/01/2025.
