Flood Warning: Lower Avon and tributaries

River levels remain high on the Lower River Avon and its tributaries. High ground water will keep river levels high.

Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the Middle and Lower Hampshire Avon, with low lying land and roads expected to be most affected, particularly around tributaries between Ringwood and Christchurch.

The forecast is for unsettled conditions but lower total rainfall over the next few days.

We will continue to monitor rainfall and river levels.

Please consider activating any property flood protection products and start acting on your flood plan if you have one. Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water.
