Flood Warning: Upper Stour and tributaries

High river levels may lead to flooding. Flooding of roads and low lying land is possible. Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the Upper Dorset Stour, Shreen Water, with low lying land and roads expected to be most affected, particularly around tributaries between Gillingham and Sturminster Newton. Further light rain is forecast this afternoon. We are monitoring rainfall and river levels.

Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses. Please do not drive through floodwater as bow waves may affect adjacent properties. Don't put yourself or others at risk.
