River levels are peaking, and are expected to begin to fall on the River Wiske later tonight.

Flooding could still affect locations near the River Wiske, Brompton Beck, Cod Beck, North Beck, Willow Beck, Sun Beck, Winton Beck.

We expect snow to continue to melt during Wednesday, river levels may remain high because of this. We are closely monitoring the situation and liaising with emergency services and local authorities.

Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses. This message will be updated by 8:30 AM on 15/01/2025, or as the situation changes.
