River levels are peaking, and beginning to fall on the lower River Ure.
Flooding could still affect locations near the River Skell, River Ure, with low lying land and roads expected to be most affected, particularly around low-lying land including agricultural land and local roads in the areas around Masham, Boroughbridge, Aldborough and Bishop Monkton.
We expect snow to continue to melt during Wednesday, river levels may remain high because of this. We are closely monitoring the situation and liaising with emergency services and local authorities.
Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses. This message will be updated by 7:30 AM on 15/01/2025, or as the situation changes.
