River levels remain high in response to recent rainfall. Flooding is possible today, Wednesday 29/01/2025, and into Thursday 30/01/2025. Areas most at risk include the Upper Derwent and Scarborough areas, including land around the Sea Cut at Scalby, Throxenby Beck, Old Malton, and Priorpot Beck in Norton. Levels remain high around Low Marishes and upstream of Malton. Levels in Malton remain high, no significant further rise is expected. No further impactful rainfall is expected over the coming days. We are closely monitoring the situation and do not expect to issue any Flood Warnings at this time. Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses and do not attempt to walk, drive or cycle through flood water. Take care and consider activating your flood plan if you have one.

This message will be updated by 9am on Thursday, 30/01/2025, or as the situation changes.
