River levels remain high following recent rainfall. Flooding is possible today, Wednesday 29/01/2025, and into Thursday 30/01/2025. Flooding is possible for local roads and low-lying land around Stamford Bridge, Pocklington, Wressle, Wilberfoss and Elvington. River levels remain high on the River Derwent at Buttercrambe and Stamford Bridge, and are rising slowly at Elvington. We are closely monitoring the situation and will issue Flood Warnings if necessary. Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses, and do not attempt to walk, drive or cycle through flood water. Take care and consider activating your flood plan if you have one. This message will be updated by 9am on Thursday, 30/01/2025, or as the situation changes.
