Groundwater levels are high but slowly falling. The level at Lopcombe Corner has fallen by 1.48m in the last week. At West Tytherley, it has fallen by 13cm. In Pitton, we expect cellars and roads in the High Street and Townsend to be affected, and the sewerage system continues to be inundated. We expect a small number of properties in Nether Wallop to be affected by cellar flooding. In West Tytherley, flooding will be continuing to affect cellars, roads and land. From today 22/04/2024 to Friday 26/04/2024, only small amounts of rain (up to 8mm) are forecast in Hampshire. Groundwater levels are expected to continue falling and the situation will slowly improve. However, groundwater flooding impacts are expected to affect these villages for at least 2 to 3 weeks. We continue to monitor the levels and forecast. If you have pumps to help reduce water levels, please ensure that they are operating. This Flood Alert will be updated by 18:00 on Monday 29/04/2024.
